Loro Piana Woman Artist Award
Inspired by CWAJ’s mission of fostering female leadership for more than 50 years and support of art through its annual exhibition of contemporary Japanese prints, leading Italian fashion brand Loro Piana Japan is collaborating with CWAJ with the donation of a special award, the CWAJ Print Show Loro Piana Woman Artist Award. The recipients were chosen by CWAJ and the Selection Advisors from among the selected works from that year’s CWAJ Print Show. The award (500,000 yen) is to encourage the career of a woman artist and the development of Japanese contemporary prints.

イタリアを代表するファッションブランドのロロ・ピアーナ ジャパン社が、 50年にわたって女性リーダーの育成に注力してきたCWAJの理念と 日本の現代版画を世界に紹介してきたCWAJ版画展の歴史に共感し て、女性アーティストをご支援くださることになり、CWAJ現代版画展 ロロ・ピアーナ女性アーティスト奨励賞(賞金50万円)を設けることが で き まし た 。 受 賞 者 は 、 そ の 年 の C W A J 現 代 版 画 展 入 選 者 の 中 か ら CWAJとセレクションアドバイザーにより選出されました。この賞が、日 本の女性版画家のさらなる飛躍と日本の版画界の発展に貢献するこ とを願ってやみません。
FENG Yi • 馮銥(ヒョウイ)
My work focuses on visualizing “ambiguous memory” through lithography. I incorporate fragmented recollections and era-specific visual symbols, such as television test patterns, to create a space where viewers can freely project their own memories and emotions. The soft gradations and the delicate realism unique to lithography are highly effective in expressing the instability and vagueness of memory. I also embrace the accidental “errors” that emerge during the process, treating them as an essential part of memory reconstruction. As an artist, I intend to continue exploring the boundaries of lithographic expression while delving more deeply into the visual structures woven from memory, perception, and time, in order to further expand the scope of my artistic practice.
私の作品は「曖昧な記憶」の視覚化をテーマに、リトグラフを 用いて制作しています。ぼんやりとした記憶の断片や、テレビ のテストパターンのような時代性を持つ視覚記号を画面に取 り入れ、鑑賞者が自由に感情や記憶を投影できる空間を目指 しました。リトグラフが持つ柔らかな階調や、現実を繊細に再 現できる技法は、記憶の不安定さや曖昧さを表現する上で 非常に効果的です。また、制作中に生まれる偶然の「エラー」 も、記憶の再構築過程の一部として受け入れ、作品に取り込 んでいます。今後はアーティストとして、リトグラフ表現の境界 を探りながら、記憶・感覚・時間が織りなす視覚構造をより深 く掘り下げ、自身の創作実践の幅をさらに広げていきたいと 考えています。
